In response to the ongoing devastating second wave of Covid-19 in India, we are partnering with Advent Health, BKH Humanitarian Foundation and locally with Rizwan Adatia Foundation and Zariya, to support ultra poor communities in slum areas by providing preventative medical equipment, food and oxygen concentrators to municipal and cancer hospitals.
Our volunteers are distributing food to families in slum areas of Palghar district, Maharashtra state. The relief campaign was launched to support ultra poor communities in the slums areas, municipal hospitals, churches, mosques and temples where people are in a desperate need as they cannot be admitted to hospitals.
India needs us now more than ever. Without reaching a peak it has already hit a global record with +400,000 new infection cases a day. Shortages of ICU beds, nurses, doctors and most importantly oxygen has created a tsunami of deaths.
If we do not help in
controlling the spread now, it can end up causing a rippling effect again around the world.
