Rita Bonzo received her long-waited wheelchair!

Rita became a handicap due to an accident she had when she was a child of about 6-8 years. Her parents couldn’t take her to a hospital because of their social and economic condition. There is no clinic and hospital close to their village, neither condition made for people for remote villagers to visit one.

She has given birth to 8 children in this condition! For a daily life she depends a lot on her family and kind neighbors. Rita has been seeking for a help from the local government and many organizations that promised her assistance but never did.

Our AIM Malawi team discovered Rita’s condition during one of the last outreach clinics to Lameck village. Assessing her condition, the team decided to put her in a list of beneficiaries for an aid from the medical items Our AIM received from Bread & Water for Africa.

Rita was elated and exultant when the team delivered her the promised wheelchair. She met in tears Our AIM team and couldn't express much her joy and extreme elation from the donation. The entire village was astounded and ecstatic that someone had finally helped Rita.
